Butter Chicken

A classic Indian dish with tender chicken pieces in a rich and creamy tomato-based sauce, perfect served with basmati rice or naan bread.
Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken breast, diced
- 150 g Plain yogurt
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch piece Ginger, minced
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 400 g Tomato puree
- 100 m Double cream
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder
- Fresh coriander
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation Steps
- Marinate the chicken with yogurt, garlic, ginger, and spices for 30 minutes.
- In a pan, heat oil and sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned.
- Stir in the tomato puree, cream, and spices (garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder). Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with rice or naan.
